Severin began his career as a house painter. He then began working for a remodeling contractor and stayed with them for 20 years, until the business owner retired. Severin likes working with his hands, solving problems, and the feeling that he is creating something new. Nothing is more gratifying for Severin than helping people realize the vision for their new home.

Severin enjoys bicycling and catching live music shows. He is also a member of the Granite Curling Club, helping maintain the ice in his spare time.
