Allegra was born and raised in Seattle, including time in Puget Ridge Cohousing and attending Nova High School. Both places taught her about facilitating a group processes, through many consensus-based planning meetings and chairing the hiring committee. She studied interior design in New York and Copenhagen. In 2009 she returned to Seattle and spent a over a decade in the furntiure business, using her passion for design with a focus on creating an excellent client experience. 

She lives in the Mount Baker neighborhood with her husband and 2 cats. They are renovating a classic Seattle craftsman. In her free time, she does yoga, hosts dinner parties and enjoys all types of live theater except opera. She enjoys travel to anywhere with great food, interesting art and unique architecture.
