Tess
DESIGN MANAGER
Originally an art major in college, Tess switched degrees after studying at the Art Institute of Florence in Italy. As someone passionate about creativity and fascinated by the human experience of the built environment --studying architecture was the right choice. After graduating with a degree in architectural history and planning to pursue a masters, a professor and mentor pushed Tess to work in the architecture field instead of academia. He convinced her that the industry needed/needs more professional women and role models.
Tess has always chosen the Residential Design Build framework. Her unique approach to design is as creative as it is practical, a perfect fit for this model.
The ability to adjust and design in real time and the tactical, tangible design solutions that change how people live in their homes, plus working with homeowners is the best. Tess’s creative curiosity for construction and design and a shared fascination with how people make decisions drew her to this work. For Tess, this career is about connecting people to their own creativity and creating spaces that are truly built for her clients.
An artist at heart, she has made it a priority to keep are in her life and has side career/identity as a gallery represented artist for over 20 years. Tess is a life long learner, and dedicated student and went back to school in 2023 at the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
